I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist in Newton MA with over 23 years of experience providing therapy to help individuals cope with a variety of mental health concerns. My goal is to help people to learn skills that will enable them to challenge negative thinking, approach avoided situations, effectively manage stress, and achieve their goals.
I completed my PhD at the University of Florida in the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology in 2000 and I have been practicing in Boston, MA since 2002.
In addition, I am a Research Associate Professor at Boston University in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences and Director of the Behavioral Medicine Program at the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders (CARD) where I train graduate students to deliver evidence-based CBT treatments. I also teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate level at Boston University. I have worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs since 1999 where I help Veterans who have experienced anxiety, depression, medical illness, pain and trauma.
